Traffic Management and Road Closures
To all West Perth staff, members and supporters please note the following traffic management and road closures which may impact your time at, and travel to, Arena Joondalup. All efforts will be made to minimise the inconvenience however the resulting improved facilities will benefit all.
VenuesWest will be undergoing some minor construction works at HBF Arena (formerly Arena Joondalup) starting on Thursday, 5 June for approximately two weeks, which will result in traffic management and some road closures.
To facilitate the development of the HBF Arena Western Oval for the local Rugby Club and Little Athletics Association, the construction team must move clean-fill from the development site to the nominated fill area South of Waabiyn Way (back entrance to Arena Joondalup and Lake Joondalup Baptist College).
This will require traffic management including some closures of Waabiyn Way during the day to allow machinery movements to occur across the roadway. The front entrance via Kennedya Drive will have full access.
Traffic management starting Thursday 5 June between 7.30am and 4.30pm is as follows:
• 7.30am – 9.00am: Lollypop traffic controllers in place to facilitate school traffic along Waabiyn Way
• 9am – 2.00pm: Road closed between Moore Drive and roundabout
• 2pm – 4.30pm: Lollypop traffic controllers in place to facilitate school traffic along Waabiyn Way
A variable message sign will be placed near the junction of Moore Drive and Waabiyn Way throughout the works to inform motorists and patrons of the closure.
We apologies in advance for any inconvenience you may experience from these works. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for your contribution to VenuesWest and for the support you continue to provide us.
Thank you
David Etherton
VenuesWest Chief Executive Officer
