THE HISTORY OF WPFC AND LEEDERVILLE OVAL
Thursday, April 10, 2014 - 11:45 AM
Follow West Perth Football Club from it's foundation in 1885 through 78 years of playing at Leederville Oval before moving to Arena Joondalup. West Perth lays claim to a rich history with a remarkable collection of personalities and brilliant footballers over the past 129 years.
Presenter, Brian Atkinson, began following West Perth Football Club from the age of 7 and has clear recollections of the 1947 grand final! He became a member in 1964 and was elected to the Board of Directors in 1981, serving as vice president and president over the years. In 1992 he was appointed to the West Australian Football Commission, retiring at the end of 1995.
