Quarter 2 2021 WPFC member update.

Welcome everyone to our 2 nd update for the year. It has been a fantastic 2 nd quarter for the
West Perth Football club both on and off the field. Firstly, on the field well done to our female
teams especially our Rogers Cup girls who if all goes to plan will be playing in the Grand
final this weekend in what is an amazing achievement. We wish Steve and the girls all the
best to bring home the flag!

Secondly what a win against Claremont last game which has seen West Perth consolidate
its position in the top 5 after a month of fantastic football. We have also seen our league
coach Geoff Valentine selected as the State Coach last month which was a great
achievement and one that we all know is well deserved. The development of our team has
been very successful which was shown in the mid-season draft recruiting of Connor West to
the West Coast Eagles. Connor will always be part of the West Perth family and we look
forward to seeing him play at the top level soon.

Finally in November this year we look forward to taking back control of our Colts and
development environment. This is currently being managed by the WAFC however our
football club will take back control in a few months under the guidance of our Football
Manager Steve Trewhella.

Off the field we are continuing to build a strong foundation. Financially we are tracking
significantly ahead of budget which is great news. As previously mentioned, having control of
all the food and beverage at our home games is financially helping our football club.
Our upstairs kitchen upgrade is currently moving through the regulatory process with work to
begin in October as well as the upgrade to the corporate boxes once the season is
complete.

We are working with both State and Federal government regarding upgrading our lights at
Provident Financial Oval (PFO). Our vision is to have the ability to play night football for both
our male and female teams which will significantly reduce the pressure of oval space that we
are currently experiencing with all our teams needing to train at PFO.

Our wonderful sponsors continue to help our club. A massive thank you to each one of you
from our major sponsors to our minor ones you all play such an important part in keeping our
football club moving in the right direction.

Looking forward we have some great events coming up including our 130 th year celebration
dinner on Friday 27 th August, we also have our West Perth Ladies Day on Saturday 17 th
July, please contact Tracy at front of house for all information regarding these or look to
social media! Thank you to all our supporters and we look forward to seeing you at the club
very soon!
