2020 AGM UPDATE

Dear Members

Following a recent Board meeting and in consultation with the WAFC the Club has postponed the AGM until April 16th, 2020.

We have now established three Board Members stepping down from their Board  role:  Paul Murray, Peter Cutler and Sam Modica. The WPFC  would like to thank them for their services and will publicly acknowledge their significant support and efforts in the 2020 season. In addition, as per our constitution all Board Members will be up for Election this year

With their departure from the Board, it is in the Club’s best interest that we extend the period for nomination to the board to allow us to find the best people to serve our club. We will be looking for a diverse mix of skills and experience to join our Board which will could include Finance, Football, Media, Marketing, Commercial and Governance.

The new timeframe for the Board Elections will be as follows.
   ·         Nominations for board positions already  opened  – Mon 10th February.
   ·         Nominations for board positions now extended and will close – Wednesday  25th March.

   ·         Voting slips (if required) mailed and the  Annual Report to be available online -  Friday 27th March.

   ·         Cut-off date for receipt of  board voting slips (if needed) -  Monday 13th April.
   ·         AGM/Announcement of election results  – Thursday 16th April.

The WAFC has a right under the Loan Agreement to meet with and approve the final board nominees prior to the election process being undertaken. The WAFC will form a selection committee established to oversee this process.  

We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused. 2020 will be another exciting yet challenging year for the Club and we will be looking for the best candidates to join our Board to support the Club through this period back into an environment of long term stability, sustainability and on and off field football success.
