WA Football Media Guild Awards
Patersons Stadium was a buzz last night as the West Australian Football Commission and WA Football Media Guild hosted the annual WA Football Media Awards to recognise this season’s high achievers, both on and off the field.
Awards were presented for online, print, radio and television media, WAFL and AFL players and coaches, as well as special awards for outstanding service.
John Townsend, from the West Australian, took home the Bernie Kirwan-Ward Best WAFL Story for his piece on West Perth's Matt Guadagnin.

The West Perth Football Club would like to congratulate John on his award, as well as acknowledge the tremendous coverage the Club, and WAFL in general, receives.
