Vale Dennis Williams

The Board of the WPFC would like to acknowledge the passing of Dennis (Wilba) Williams.  Dennis was involved with the club as a player and then importantly as a development coach of the thirds (now colts) and fourths (now defunct) competitions. Although not going on to play league football his impact on young players was high. In 1976 he coached current president Neale Fong, club greats in Peter Menaglio and Corry Bewick in their first season in the colts. An old-fashioned “hard” coach he epitomised the Club’s values. Dennis was also a league team runner. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on May 18th at the Melville Glades Golf Club at 200pm. Vale Dennis Williams.
