Country coach scoops top prize |

West Perth FC country development coach, Craig Gmeiner, has been honoured recently by being named the Ken Armstrong Community Country Coach of the Year for his outstanding coaching contribution. The award was presented by Dale Ballantyne at the recent launch of the Landmark country football championships.
Gmeiner, who hails from Narembeen in the Wheatbelt has been involved with West Perth for almost 5 years, and in that time has seen many of his charges progress through to the Falcons.
West Perth District Manager, Gerry O' Dea is an unabashed fan of Gmeiners. "Craig is a very quiet individual, but has a terrific coaching knowledge, is very committed and always gets the best out of his charges. He is determined to see young country players get the best out of their ability"
Gmeiner is a teacher at Narembeen District High School and also coaches the towns Reserve grade team. Last season, he coaches the Ressies to a flag and is highly regarded around the town, for his great contribution to sport. Narembeen is an amazing town, that has had an enormous amount of sporting success recently, thanks to people like Craig who strive to assist their community.
The West Perth Football Club has invited Craig and his wife to join them at this years' Breckler Medal, where he will be formally recognized by the club.
