Club and Dymock find value in Heritage Jumper Print E-mail
Tuesday, 01 July 2008
jvbtopform_web.jpgRound seven saw the West Perth Falcons front up to the East Fremantle Sharks in their 1932, 34and 35 premiership winning jumper.

West Perth won the day in front of 1800 fans with game being televised statewide on ABC TV.

To see our home grown AFL players Mark Seaby and Kepler Bradley along with two time Breckler Medal winner Dion Fleay, crowd favourites Josh Pearce and Dustin Burns and young guns - Jay Van Berlo and Andrew Strijk wear the famous red n blue from such a successful era was deserved way to honour the past.

In a first for the club, the jumpers were auctioned through an online bidding system on the clubs newly refreshed website.

heath-dymock_web.jpgHeath Dymock (as pictured) was understandably delighted with his successful bid for once off guernsey autographed by all the players whom participated on the day. Heath nailed the jumper at $750 and was delighted to accept it at the recent Presidents Home Game lunch against South Fremantle. Heath is a life long Falcon fan with his claim to fame being that he went to Greenwood High School with Premiership player Gavin Bell.

Other jumpers to sell well were Club Captain Jason Salecic at $300, Phil Smith $250, Dion Fleay $250, Callum Chambers $175, Mark Seaby $160 and Brent LeCras $150.

The club raised $5000 from the event and was delighted with the response from the public with all jumpers fetching a good price for the club and no doubt a collector's piece of history for their new owners.
