THE fixtures for the 2016 McDonald's WAFL Premiership Season have been released with West Perth to again begin its campaign under lights at Fremantle Oval against South Fremantle on Saturday March 19.

West Perth's first game of 2016 will be that night game against South Fremantle with the first fixture at home coming seven days later against Perth at HBF Arena.

The first grand final rematch will take place against Subiaco on Saturday April 2 at HBF Arena. The Falcons and Lions will then also play at Medibank Stadium in Round 10 and at Kingsway Reserve in Round 20.

West Perth will also be hosting the WA Day Derby against East Perth in Round 12.

Unlike in 2015, West Perth will be featured in the television broadcasts during the 2016 season. The Round 1 clash with South Fremantle will be shown on 7mate and the grand final rematch in Round 3 will also be on 7mate.

During 2016, West Perth will play Perth, Subiaco, East Perth and Claremont on three occasions, and South Fremantle, East Fremantle, Swan Districts and Peel Thunder twice.

West Perth's season begins with the first eight rounds all uninterrupted with that run including away games to South Fremantle, East Fremantle, East Perth and Swan Districts, and home clashes with Perth, Subiaco, Claremont (country clash in Corrigin) and Peel.

The Falcons' first bye comes in Round 9 leading into another grand final rematch with Subiaco, a road clash with Perth and then the WA Day Derby at HBF Arena.

The state match for 2016 will take place at Steel Blue Oval on Saturday June 11 against Tasmania.

Following that break, West Perth plays Claremont at the Showground in Round 13, South Fremantle in Round 14 and East Fremantle in Round 15 ahead of away clashes to Peel and East Perth.

West Perth has its second bye of the season in Round 18 before hosting Perth, facing Subiaco at Kingsway and a clash with Claremont at HBF Arena.

It's another bye in Round 22 leading into the final round clash with Swan Districts at HBF Arena on Saturday August 27.
