Falcons Thankyou
The Falcons thank the volunteers from Whitford Junior Football Club who made last Saturday’s
home game such a success.
In particular, we salute Claire O’Donnell, and club president Phil O’Donnell who worked tirelessly
from early in the morning until well after the 9.30, to provide food and drinks for both Falcons and
Peel fans. Special thanks to Megan Miles who looked at home behind our bar. Dave Horne on the
BBQ.
Twelve volunteers from Whitford manned a sausage sizzle on the terrace in front of our new rooms
and provided a can bar which will be an on-going feature this season.
Claire’s roast beef rolls were a hit in the Falcons bar upstairs where the early Eagles game shown on
big screens drew a big crowd of our supporters.
Special thanks to
Joe Scarfo from Scarfo Meating Place for suppling the fantastic sausages.
Bakers Delight Mullaloo
Fresh Frontier for the salads
We also would like to thank Amy Brett for working dawn to dusk.
CEO Jimmy Caffieri says Whitford showed that a return to grassroots footy was what fans wanted.
And the league team put the icing on the cake by making up for the round one loss to Peel with our
third-in-a-row win.
