RESERVES FATHER'S DAY FINAL

Head down to East Fremantle Oval this Sunday at 11:45am to watch the West Perth Reserves team face off against arch rivals East Perth in the 1st Semi Final.

Last year the Reserves made it to the Grand Final, so be there on Sunday to offer the boys some support to hopefully get them there again this year! The West Perth Reserves have only ever won one premiership and have a good chance at making it a second this year, following a strong season.

Bill Dempsey is the only West Perth player to have played in both a reserves and league premiership and this year, Regan Duckworth is lined up to emulate this effort.

Wanneroo Amateur Football Club President Geoff Burwood has been announced as the West Perth District Football Development Council’s 2010 RAC- West Perth District Volunteer of the Year.

Football is reliant on Volunteers at every level, from the WAFC Commissioners to Club Presidents, Equipment Stewards, team managers and Runners. Put simply without the tireless work of the many 1000's of volunteers not a single game of footy would be played. 

In 2010, 40 nominations were received for volunteers within the West Perth District. The standard of applicants was extremely high and all deserve their nominations.

Geoff is the current President of the Wanneroo Amateur Football club and has volunteered in football for over 15 years.

There are only 100 tickets at a cost of $100 each so be quick to get your ticket for your chance to win some fantastic prizes!!!
